Hi,

Just reply to this if you have any good info or questions about prospecting for gold in or around Orange County.  Because we get tons of spam posts every day, we are asking for your e-mail address to confirm your post.  We will not send you any junk mail.

  1. hi, i am a claim owner in trabuco canyon. the biggest problem i have is people taking my signs down then prospecting. this is claim jumping and is punishable by jail time. please let your readers know, that if they are going to prospect check with the BLM or the county recorders office. they will tell you if there are claims in the area you are looking to prospect.

    thank you,
    Jeff

    • I prospect in trabuco canyon all the time! I think I know exactly where your claim is (not that I have actually ever seen a sign now that I think of it). I need a claim to work my gold screw trommel. It is an 8″ or 9″ reverse helix trommel with a gold screw auto panning wheel. I need a claim that I can set up my wash plant and go to town! I am actually in the middle of staking a claim right next to yours, down stream a little bit (well down what used to be a stream). If you ever want me to come down and help, I am a 4th generation prospector and my trommel has a 98% recovery rate on 20 mesh and smaller. Besides, I hope to become neighbors soon, so what’s good for you, is good for me! Hope to hear from you…! Email me at opwellness@yahoo. ThaNks!
